Collection: Fork Terminals

Fork terminals, also known as spade terminals, are commonly used in electrical wiring for secure and easy connections to screw terminals. They feature a flat, fork-like design that allows for a quick connection without completely removing the screw. The fork shape ensures that the terminal remains secure under the screw head, providing a reliable electrical connection even when the terminal is subject to vibration or movement  .

Fork terminals come in a variety of sizes and are often color-coded based on wire gauge, similar to other electrical terminals like ring or blade terminals. The color-coding system  includes red, blue and yellow. They are widely used in automotive, industrial, and household applications, providing a versatile solution for creating secure electrical connections.

These terminals are made of materials like copper or brass with a protective layer of tin to prevent corrosion and ensure longevity. Insulated versions have a plastic sleeve over the barrel to offer additional protection from short circuits by preventing accidental contact between the terminal and other conductive components.
