Another Step Forward – Avon Controls Partners with Spelsberg

I’m really pleased to announce that Avon Controls is now working in partnership with Spelsberg, adding another well-established manufacturer to the range of products we can offer our customers. Spelsberg is a name many people in the electrical and controls industry will already know, particularly for its extensive range of electrical enclosures, junction boxes and industrial enclosure solutions. For us, it’s a range that fits perfectly alongside the controls, automation equipment and panel-building products we already supply. When I started Avon Controls, one of the main aims was to make purchasing easier for control panel builders, machine builders, OEMs and electrical contractors. Rather than having to place orders with five or six different suppliers to complete a panel, we want customers to be able to send us their requirement and let us take care of as much of it as possible. That’s why our relationship with Spelsberg is important. It isn’t simply about adding another manufacturer’s logo to the Avon Controls website – it gives us another major part of the control panel BOM that we can supply. More Spelsberg stock at Avon Controls As with our other key manufacturers, we don't just want to say we can supply Spelsberg products – we want to have the products our customers regularly use sitting on the shelf. We're therefore building our stockholding of popular Spelsberg products at Avon Controls, giving customers quicker access to the enclosures and accessories they need for their projects. And if we don't have the exact enclosure you need on our shelf, we can source from the wider Spelsberg range. This is particularly useful for our panel-building customers. You can potentially order the enclosure, variable speed drive, power supply, circuit protection, contactors, terminals, cable, ferrules and other panel components from Avon Controls rather than spreading the order across numerous suppliers. Why Spelsberg? One of the things I like about the Spelsberg range is the sheer number of options available. Whether it's a relatively simple junction box or an enclosure for a more involved industrial application, there are plenty of different sizes, materials and configurations available. That means when a customer sends us a requirement, we can help look at the application and find an enclosure that suits what they're actually trying to build rather than simply supplying whatever happens to be closest in size. It's another area where I want Avon Controls to be more than somewhere you simply enter a part number and click Add to Cart. Another piece of the Avon Controls range We're gradually building Avon Controls into the type of supplier I wanted it to be from the beginning. Somewhere a customer can send a complete BOM rather than just one or two individual products. We're already working with customers to cross-reference BOMs, consolidate suppliers and hold stock against their regular requirements. Adding the Spelsberg range gives us another opportunity to do exactly that. So if you're already using Spelsberg, you've got an upcoming enclosure requirement or you're a panel builder who would like us to look at a complete BOM, send it over. We'll be happy to take a look.
